That spirit is exactly what I wanted to bring into Brasilis Crochet. The name is more than a title, it’s a piece of who I am.

My name is Maria, the founder of Brasilis. I’m Brazilian, now living in Tennessee. My life took a beautiful and unexpected turn after meeting my husband on a mission trip in the Amazon, on a boat, of all places. I left my entire life behind, including my career as an attorney in Brazil, to start a new chapter in the United States. And I would not change a thing.

Starting over in a new country meant learning how to wear many hats and rediscover myself. I come from a long line of women who crochet — it’s a craft woven into generations of my family. Joining that heritage feels like coming home. Today, I’m an attorney in Brazil, a paralegal in the U.S., and now, a proud small business owner.

Crochet has become my happy place, the bridge between my past and my present. Through Brasilis Crochet, I bring together tradition, personality, and beauty, creating handmade pieces that carry meaning in every stitch.
